every child is a star! |

Each medical & dental mission consists of a four-day program beginning on a Friday and ending on a Monday. The following is a break down of the schedule:
Friday – Day 1: Arrive in Les Cayes Check into the hotel Travel to clinic Have lunch Hold meeting to discuss work plan Set up clinic Have dinner Return to hotel End of day 1
Sunday – Day 3: Have breakfast at the hotel Travel to clinic See patients all day Break for lunch, snacks, and dinner Party with the kids Return to hotel Pack your bags Debrief End of day 3
LODGING: While in Les Cayes, you will be staying at the Concorde Hotel; a family owned and operated bed & breakfast located in the downtown area. The Concorde is a landmark hotel that has been in existence for over 60 years. The owner is fluent in English, hospitable, and once owned and operated a 5-star restaurant in Austin, Texas.
YOUR SAFETY: The safety of the volunteers is our number one priority. From the moment you land in Haiti until you return to the U.S., we take every precaution to ensure that you have a safe and enjoyable experience.
We keep our “ears to the ground” and stay constantly informed through local authorities to ensure that volunteers travel to Haiti only when it is absolutely safe to do so. Trips can be cancelled if there are any concerns.
We will personally greet you at the airport in Port-Au-Prince and accompany you for the duration of your stay in Haiti.
We handle all of in-country arrangements including meals, tipping, ground & air transportation, and hotel accommodations.
To avoid possible bacterial infection, we ensure that all meals are prepared by trusted staff members under strict sanitary condition and close supervision.
LES CAYES: Les Cayes is the third largest city of Haiti. Located in the coastal region, it is one of the most peaceful and beautiful parts of the island. Surrounded by laurel flower trees and sandy beaches, the natural wonder of Les Cayes is simply breath-taking and can be seen whether you are traveling by ground or by air. The people are friendly and hospitable.
Unfortunately, because of the peaceful nature of the residents of Les Cayes, the town stays out of the spotlight and is overlooked by humanitarian organizations. Most organizations that provide aides to Haiti assume that residents of Les Cayes are better off than individuals in areas that are prone to frequent uprising and civil unrests. Consequently, the residents do not get the resources or the attention that they need. |
