Text Box: International Alliance for the Advancement of Children

International Alliance for the Advancement of Children, Inc. (IAAC) is a non-profit tax-exempt 501 (c) 3 organization, based in Brooklyn, New York.  IAAC was founded to help prevent children, especially those under the age of five years old from developing malnutrition, and to give them access to primary school education.

OUR MISSION

IAAC is dedicated to providing education, vocational training, healthcare, and nutrition to children living in marginalized regions of the world.  Our mission is deeply rooted in the belief that food, basic education and healthcare are fundamental human rights that should be available and accessible to all children.

OUR VISION

Our vision is to create opportunities that will enable children to achieve their highest potential in order for them to become productive and contributing members of world societies.

WHAT SETS IAAC APART FROM OTHER CHARITIES

Established in 2003, IAAC has been successful at achieving results that major organizations with 6 to 7-figure budgets can only dream of.  In this short period of time, IAAC has impacted the lives of thousands of children and adults alike in Les Cayes, Haiti.  IAAC’s impact can be seen throughout the community, in individual children, the nutrition center, the schools, and the library/computer lab center.

IAAC’s success is commendable, but not surprising.  The

founder of IAAC is uniquely positioned to bring about the

kind of transformational programs that children in Haiti need

to turn the tide of poverty.  Unlike most organizations’ executives that have to rely on translators, experts, and skewed data to figure out how best to allocate resources, the founder of IAAC knows where the needs are. She knows because she embodies the life of the children that IAAC serves.

Ghislaine is a Haitian-American resident of Brooklyn, NY with over 20 years of healthcare and executive experience working in the United States.  But, she was born and raised in Haiti; she speaks the language and is deeply rooted in the community she now serves in Les Cayes.  She brings the world’s view of donors and board members to problem solving in Haiti, yet she has the sensibility of hungry children in the poorest of homes in the village.

100% of all donations go to cover direct program costs.  All IAAC programs are run by local staff members who are indigenous to the region and understand the needs of children in the community.

Is dedicated to helping children achieve  their highest potential

every child is a star!
