The Children

 

The children that IAAC serves are truly amazing and inspiring.  Those of us who have had the privilege to meet them have been the most impressed with their courage and their ability to use their sense of humor, singing, and dancing to bring joy and laughter to everyone who comes in contact with them.

 

IAAC serves children from ages 6 months old to 22 years.  The nutrition center has been home and a place of comfort to many children since the center was opened six years ago.

 

Our ultimate goal is to help underprivileged children in Haiti rise out of

poverty by providing them with access to education and vocational

training. We are also acutely aware that these goals cannot be achieved

without addressing the basic needs of the children.  .

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The greatest dream of every child in Haiti is to go to school.  Because, their parents instill in them at an early age that an education is the only hope out of poverty.  Unfortunately, most kids, especially in the rural areas of Haiti drop out of school before they reach fourth grade level due to lack of materials such as a note book, a pencil, clothes, or a pair of shoes.
